Group Accounts Manager

Job Summary:

The Group Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounts of multiple divisions within the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, optimizing financial performance, and leading a team of accountants to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial accounts for various divisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for senior management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the group.
• Collaborate with division managers to develop financial strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and financial analysts.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and address any issues.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and industry trends to ensure best practices are followed.
• Prepare presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders to communicate financial results and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CA,CMA,
• Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably within a Retail  group or multi-entity organization.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
